Bonanza purposefully not letting me close my account
I joined Bonanza last summer, and told them to delete my account after I tried to do it through their site, but I kept getting an error message. Oct 24th, they sent an email stating the account was closed.
A couple days ago, I notice an item was purchased and paid to my PayPal account, it turns out that all of my current ebay items are still being automatically exported from ebay, and my account is still there.
*** scammers, may they rot in ***.

At first, I was very excited about Bonanza as an alternative to Ebay. I'm a powerseller on Ebay, but I'm tired of their fees and Nazi like tactics, so I decided to give Bonanza a try. I spent several hours listing my items, waited for them to activate my account, which took longer than the 24 hours they tell you it will take. Eventually I had to email them and tell them it had been almost 36 hours. They immediately activated my account.
After a full day, I had not received a single view on any of my items. Not one. Nobody had visited or looked at any of my items and they are all pretty popular items. I even signed up for additional advertising in which you pay more commissions, and still nada.
I emailed them about this and they responded with a canned response that was completely irrelevant. They clearly didn't take any time to research my issue. The email told me to do a bunch of things that I had already done.
I have since emailed them 3 times requesting assistance and they have not responded. Then, I finally got a response and it said "We are marking this ticket as resolved"!!! LOL. Resolved!? No one had ever gotten back to me.
I wrote back one more time and told them this was not resolved. I explained that I was an Ebay powerseller and I am looking for an alternative to Ebay. They still have not responded, so they must not care.
I won't be using them again and I cannot recommend them to anyone. Awful, waste of time.

I have a profitable legitimate business on Bonanza
I have been operating my business for over a month now on Bonanza. I have used their advertising tools and upgraded to a platinum membership.
I have grossed over 2k in profit and I have delivered all the items that I have sold. No matter where you shop or setup your store you will always risk being ripped off. However there are plenty of legitimate sellers that communicate quickly and get your items delivered as promised. Bonanza may not be as big as Ebay but I can guarantee there are more Scammers per user on Ebay than on Bonanza.
The only complaint is that the fee base is pretty high when using Advertising, but I find the ease of use of the website to make up for it.
This might be what is happening.
I was looking for a new place to sell my items on, some place that is cheaper to sell than eBay. I don't do anything without doing research however and I have been selling as a regular individual for ( a VERY long time ) over 18 years now. with a 100% positive rate and selling well over 4000 items. In these years of selling every scam in the book has been tried on me and I am aware of so many I feel I can honestly say I think I know all of them, I have even thought of some that no one has ever tried on me, i can see the flaws, I can feel the scam attempt about to happen and I can prevent it, as a buyer and as a seller.
I have mentioned this because I wanted you , the reader , to know what I believe I have discovered. THIS site Bonanza has a flaw. I have read through many posts from buyers and sellers both on the site, i have read the good and the bad posts. it appears to me that the scammers on this site are quite possibly the site it self. I realize how that sounds but let me put it this way to allow you to see it plainly. Imagine, if a site that has very little fees charged allowed people to sell on their site and they also had the ability to divert funds. for instance. I post a great item, you buy it, you pay for it with pay pal. I am never informed you bought it, the money never showed up in my account because you actually paid someone with an account on pay pal you were never told you didn't pay my pay pal account. You get very irritated and want your money back or your item, You and I are cut off from communicating at all and when you try to contact the site you are given generic answers and I am used as the scape goat in the theft of your dough. when the actual thief still has your money and hundreds if not thousands of other peoples just like you.
Are you seeing what might be happening ? all while other sales that do go through to make it all seem way legit. The Fleecing of a few to line the pockets. Ya Think?
here is how I have come to this conclusion, many sellers complain they have sold an item and the buyer is now GONE and never paid. Many Buyers have complained that they bought something and the seller is not available any longer but they paid and the money is missing from their account. None of these people have posted successful pay pal refunds, some of the funds that were missing were over 250.00 any purchase of an item paid for through pay pal that is over 250.00 is required to have shipping confirmation and a signature when the item has arrived, if it does not The Buyer can request a refund and all they have to say is they never got the item. UNLESS the buyers payment was routed through pay pal as a GIFT Or a payment made as Money owed but not a purchase. then the money cannot be returned. if the person who paid was not aware of the way the payment was routed they would never get their money back.

Preferred solution: Had to order from Amazon yesterday and already received my Amazon order.I want a full refund or delivery by tomorrow. It shouldn't take this long or be this difficult to find out when I'm getting my product!

Same here. I closed the account twice and have still been getting $40 auto charges for the past 3 months unnoticed until now.
Contacted them numerous times over the phone with no response and also by messaging. Unreal!
This happened to me. Said my account had been closed, did not receive an email from them until today.
Months later. My account had still been open! They have been taking out 20.00 each month from me, without giving me invoices or any indication that they are. Tried again 3 times this morning to close my account.
Even took screen shots.
My account is still up and open. They will not let me cancel nor take my credit card information out of their website.
